Good Morning Beautiful

I love having my hubby done with school for the semester, and not working all the time. Every morning I wake up to my hubby singing to me (even though he can't sing).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUDtIOyOwgw

every morning I get this song!!! I love having my hubby around all the time!!!
And I love him singing to me even though he doesn't like to sing, I love waking up to that song.

Grocery Shopping

NOTE: This will be a short post but it was so funny I could not resist posting it.

Wednesday night is grocery night. So we went shopping to get our goodies for the week. We left the store into the chilly weather, we hurry to our car Curt pulls the keys out of his pocket, pushes the button to unlock our doors, opens the backseat to put the groceries in. Then I realize the car is closer than I thought, and it looked more blue...? Our car is light silver. Maybe its the lighting. That car a few stales over looks like our car. Wait sonata...? We have a ford focus! Curt that isn't our car! One of two things happened. 1) someone left their car unlocked NOT SAFE! or 2) our key magically unlocked their car.

Whatever it was, it was definitely the most fun we've ever had shopping for groceries :)

21 woot woot

That's right I am 21!!! On August 16, 2011 I turned 21 :) Only down side is I had to work :( So we celebrated on Monday instead we went out to Olive Garden yum my favorite :) I was sad because my parents didn't call they only texted me a happy birthday wish :( Curt's mom came up on Friday night to take us to dinner and stay the night with us. I was scheduled to work on Saturday so a co worker offered to take my shift so I could spend the day with Curt. So I asked him about it and he said I should just go to work. I was so hurt :( I thought he'd be happy to spend time with me. So I went to bed hurt and upset that night. Curt kept telling me we'd have fun tomorrow after I got off. He'd make it up to me tomorrow. I thought ya right.

So I woke up in the morning still in a bad mood, silently got ready for work, Curt then offered to drive me to work. I was still put out so I just said whatever. He dropped me off and said he'd pick me up at 4. I just waved him off. So 4 rolls around and Curt keeps texting asking if I am ready, when I'll be outside, am I coming. I took my own sweet time just to bug him. I got out to the car and he said he needed to drop something off at his sister Connie's house I just said whatever. So we get there, I smell like pizza I don't want to get out of the car, he walks over to my door opens it to let me out. I just sat there. Then realizing he wasn't about to leave me in the car I pulled myself out of the car clearly making my point I was unhappy about all of this. We walk in the front door and something looked different and there was something hanging on the ceiling I just brushed it off. We walk in Connie says hey whats up then we get in to the front family room and there is all of Curt's family AND my family they burst out SURPRISE!!! Then proceed to sing the happy birthday song. I just looked at Curt and glared. He said see I told you I'd make it up to you. I love you. I was so embarrassed because my hair was a gross mess from work, I smelt like pizza, and I looked homeless. But my thoughtful hubby just is on top of everything and even brought me my new birthday shirt and clean clothes, my body spray, and a brush to fix my hair.

We first ate pulled pork burritos yum :) Then we played games like the balloon stomp

The egg cracking game (a Newman favorite)

Then it was time for presents and cake, my cake was made by my mother-in-law it was delish. It was yellow cake with a fudge middle with pirouettes on the whole outside and crumbled candy bars on top yummy :) I got socks from my Karla, A gift card to Claire's from Joey and Leslie, lime juicer from my mother-in-law, and socks, breakfast and a puzzle from Connie. My mommy got me my first very own Halloween candy dish :D its a Dracula and it is so cute can't wait to use it :) and some very large very cute chunky silver hoops :) I was a good surprise even though I hate surprises :P
My husband made my day special that's for sure.

I also, even though I wasn't in Orem to go visit her, thought a lot about my Auntie whom I share a birthday with. She hasn't been here for our birthday for 6 years now but I believe she is celebrating with me whether others can see her or not. She used to tell me that I could take her birthday age so I would age two years and she would stay the same age :) I loved that idea my mother not so much but it never seemed to really work I still only get one year older every birthday which one day I will be happy about. I love you Aunt Lizzi

My lovely cousin is married!!!

Yes I do realize that I am terribly behind in my blogging but I am working on it.

This post is about my closest cousin. Keri Miguela Johnston now Romine. She was sealed to the love of her life on July 30, 2011 in the Salt Lake Temple. I am so happy for her and this new chapter in her life :) We have been so close for our whole lives basically. We are both married off women now. It was a beautiful sealing and they are so happy. We had an open house at my parents house after the sealing and then the big party reception the following week in Ramah, New Mexico. It was so much fun, there was lots of great Filipino food, dancing, and they showed their cute video. Then there was the cake, garter, and bouquet. Then the mommy/son and daddy/daughter dance, then dancing for everyone :D I do believe I danced more with my daddy than my husband (he stomped on my feet). It was such a great time and I wish these two every happiness and everything they have ever wanted. I LOVE YOU TWO, HAPPY ETERNITY!!!

Happy 4th!!!

I am not doing very well on the updating the blog thing. On the Fourth this year we went to the Hyrum for their parade.

Then had a dutch oven dinner at his sister Connie's house. Where Brad and Curtis played basketball and I played hopscotch with the girls.
After Curtis and I drove down to Brigham City for their HUGE fireworks :) It was a blast ;)

I love to see the Temple!

Yesterday Curtis and I had the opportunity to go and do sealings at the Logan Temple before it closes for a month. We had a wonderful time, going to the temple is always a great experience we are so lucky to live so closely to the House of the Lord.

We always enjoy our experiences there together, the spirit is always so strong and I love the peace that is brings. I love feeling so close to our Heavenly Father and others that have passed on.

I am so happy knowing that our family is eternal and that we will always have each other. I love this gospel and the happiness it brings. I love the Temple.

Just because I love him!!!

I guess this post could be in honor of Father's Day, my first father's day with my husband, the future father of our future children, or just because I have all this love in my heart today.

This post is all about my amazing man that chose me to be his eternal companion. I had a bad dream about him last night so I need to put down all my feelings for my wonderful, amazing, loving eternal companion.

I have the most wondeful man in all the world. He works so hard to make sure that we are in a good place financally, and that we have everything we need. He loves me despite my womanly hormones and all my dumb emotions that women unfortunately seem to have. He is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. The love I feel for him is like nothing I have ever felt before in my life. He honors his priesthood and utlilizes it frequently, he is so spiritually strong.

He is always there for me, he comforts me, talks me down when I get my feathers ruffled, he talks to me about anything and everything, we decide everything together, he is content just holding my hand, he kisses me goodbye every morning even though I am still asleep, he watches movies with me even though he falls asleep, he motivates me, he helps me around the house, the vacuums the millions of spiders that think our home is theirs, he is patient with me.

I could go on and on. So short and simple!!! I LOVE MY HUSBAND SO MUCH HE IS THE GREATEST MAN IN THE WORLD!!! Women you can agrue and say yours is the best but you are mistaken, mine is in fact the greatest in the world.

Sprinter Clean Up

Posted by Picasa

There are a few days when the weather is some what warm and nice enough to do some clean up work.

Curt and I are trying to make the yard look good we started with ripping out some ugly bushes in the front yard. We hooked a chain around the bushes then to the truck and we yanked it out. It took a while but we eventually got them out and the yard is on its way to looking fantastic :)

Now if only the weather would let us do some more work.

Faith is like a little seed

Faith is like a little seed. Well you have to have faith whilst planning on planting a garden in Logan, Utah.  Well since we have this gorgeous garden space we figured we'd try.

We weeded, tilled, raked, planted, watered and PRAYED for the best. The garden looked sad to begin with. Then Logan weather took its toll :(

We got snow, rain, flooding, and heat. The poor garden is dead  :( some of our seeds never surfaced and our little plants wilted. Next year we will plant later and pray harder and hope Logan cooperates.

One Year Ago

*NOTE* I did start this on the 31st but because I had work I did not finish but I have now finished :)

I haven't posted in a long time which I will catch up on soon, but I had to make this post. For today was the day I had my first date with my now amazing husband. (Technically it was Memorial Day but it was the 31st of May so I count that as our first date.)

Let me start a few days ago.

May 28-29, 2010

This day I spent the night with my best friend Eva at her parents house in West Valley and I got a text from a number I didn't know. Which wasn't unusal since my phone that I had at the time fried itself every two weeks and I lost all vital information with no way to save it. So rather than doing the smart thing and asking who was texting me and tell them I lost all contacts in my phone I figured I would just get them to say something difinitive and figure out for myself who this was. So I asked what they were up to, they replied just at the Delta Hot Pots with my buds. So I figured it was a guy, the real question was which one. Since he said he was in Delta I thought it was this guy a dated a year ago, but then he said something about doing a Rodeo, which ruled out that one. So I thought he was a guy that I dated in High School which did prove to be true just not the one that I thought. So I gave him some sarcastic answers to questions and chatted from late Friday night to late Saturday night. I got home and told my parents that Skylar asked me out on a date. They asked when, he was going to school in Cedar, I responded that we didn't talk about it. I went back down stairs to put my dog to bed and I received another text from my would-be-solved mystery texter and he said I bet you are a good kisser. Now I know that I had kissed Skylar before now I was TOTALLY lost at who was texting me. I had the thought to check my facebook messages so I did and found Curtis Newman's message to me from January with his phone number it. I went up to my parents room and fell face first onto their bed. They asked what was the matter. I said ITS CURTIS NEWMAN!!! They said who is? The guy I said was Skylar is CURTIS NEWMAN!!! I told my mom I was going to tell him I couldn't go on a date with him, I was going to tell him no! My mom said you can't do that don't be mean just go on one date and you never have to go out again. I really did not want to, I told her no I won't go on a date with him, and I went to bed.

May 30, 2010

The next morning before Church my mom suggested that I invite him to our family BBQ the next day for Memorial Day. That way if things were awkward there would be other people around to talk to and such. I reluctantly agreed. I texted him and invited him over he said he'd love to. So with our date set I headed to church. I met with my Bishop to discuss my choice to serve a mission. I told my family that night at dinner I made my mom cry in a happy way. This would help keep Curtis at bay I was going to serve a mission.

May 31, 2010

Memorial Day. I woke up and started getting ready for the day. I texted Curtis to ask what his favorite color. He said it was Orange. Alise was dressing me and wanted me to catch his eye so she had me wear an orange shirt. I went downstairs and my dad was sitting at the kitchen table. He said he wanted to talk to me. He said that he had a promoniton that once I started hanging out with Curtis that we would be spending a lot of time together and I wouldn't serve my mission. I said you're telling me I am going to marry Curtis Newman!? He said I never said that I just said you would spend a lot of time together. I brushed it off and went about the day till Curtis came over. Everyone else came over and still Curtis hadn't shown up. I was beginning  to think he stood me up on our first date when he seemed so eager. When finally I was about to give up hope on him coming I got a text saying he was here. All of the sudden I had butterflies like you wouldn't believe. So I ran to the front door opened it and there stood this tall, very good looking, brown eyed, brown haired man. Not the boy I remember from High School he was different. I said Curtis! and hugged him then brought him in and he apologized for taking so long he had ridden his scooter down and it can't go on the freeway so he had to take the back roads to my house. I said that was ok I just thought you were standing me up, just teasing. :) I was worried about it being awkward still but actually everything went so well. Nothing was weird he fit right in and by the end of the night we were holding hands.

Today I am married to that man and I have never been happier. I love our life together. I love how hard he works to supports us and take care of us, he is so motivated and very helpful. He is my best friend, my world, my everything. I look back to before we started dating and I never would have thought I'd be where I am now. But, I can't imagine it any other way, I wouldn't change a thing about our life together (well except maybe the fact that Logan is FREEZING me to death!!!) it is perfect and I love being married.

I can't wait to spend the rest of all eternity with him and see all the things life brings us. I say bring it on we can handle anything!!!

Fun from Ireland

Thursday Curtis had a good friend from Ireland drop in for a visit he had come over to surprise his wife who still lives in Idaho (she is working on moving over to Ireland with him soon). But he stopped and spent the night with us Thursday night. I had to work from 12-6 and Tom would be at our apartment by 6:30 so timing was perfect.

However things never go as planned and after I got off work I went out to the truck to drive home and it wouldn't start. It didn't click over NOTHING. The buttons on the keys wouldn't open the doors. The truck didn't react at all it was totally dead. So I called Curt because he had just gotten home from work to come get me on the scooter or fix the truck which ever was possible. He is a pretty good mechanic so he thought he could fix it... NOPE. We were completely baffled so Joey (his brother) was up here with his wife and her family celebrating her birthday at Sizzler (right by my work) yay so he came over with the car really fast to come and help us jump start it. It didn't work. So Curt ran home to get some tools and unhook the battery and re-hook it to see if that helped any. Nope.
Ultimately we had to have Joey tow us to the Ford dealership down the road a ways. We got there and they were already closed. So we found a drop box dropped the keys and it is now about 7:45. Curt had left the apartment open so Tom and Nan(Curt's mom) could wait inside for us.  So our perfect timing ended up not being so perfect. We had a late dinner but it was a lot of fun. We rode the scooter in the cold rain from the dealership, home, to Texas Roadhouse, and home again. They wouldn't know until 2 o'clock Friday afternoon what is wrong with it. :( We hoped it's nothing serious. We showed Tom our wedding photos, got his bus ticket all settled to get him to Idaho Falls, changed the address for his lost luggage to be sent to his sons house and not ours, and we talked till midnight then we went to bed. Now you saw on the list just the sentence before we changed the delivery address right? You also notice my picture at the top shows Tom, Curt, and 3 bags right? That's because they didn't get the address change so at 3:53am Curt gets a call... its the delivery guy who doesn't know which door is ours to drop off the luggage at. So Curt goes up and gets it, then comes back down and it tooks us and hour to get back to sleep. Then we got up at 6 to get Tom ready to catch the bus. But because of our unfortunate deal with the truck they had to load onto the scooter (as seen above). Thankfully the bus stop is less than a mile away.

So that was the start to what is supposed to be our amazingly, fun, fantastic weekend. Friday I worked from 12-6 Curt was already at work so I was stranded with no vehicle. Nan came to get me and take me to work, but my family came up earlier than the time I was supposed to get off work. So they came over to my work and saw all the fun stuff we have there. My brother got lost in Brigham instead of making it to Logan. So he had to call my dad to get directions. So I gave my family the tour of our place and we got the pizzas in the oven so we could eat. We showed off our wedding photos while we waited, then we ate dinner, and played apples to apples. We had some cheesecake that was left over from our reception. It was about 10 o'clock and my family had a long drive home so they left but my older brother and his girlfriend stayed to have a chit-chat. They didn't leave until 1:20am so after they left Curt and I wanted to stay awake till they got home to know that they made it home safely. We lasted till about 3 then we fell asleep. They made it home at 3:30 ish so we almost made it the whole time.

I had to work Saturday as well, I had to close up the store so I was at work till about 8ish. We were supposed to go up to Bear Lake with Curt's family for Easter so we left after work, and got up there about 9:15pm we got settled into our room then went over his mom's room to party with everyone. We played Just Dance 2 on the Wii, card games, and Apples to Apples. Had Ice Cream for Connie and Leslie's birthdays (which we were celebrating while up there). Chatted and snacked till 2:00am. Finally with me half asleep in the arm chair we all went to bed. The bed was as hard and as a board :P I was awake for another hour because I couldn't sleep.

The next morning, Easter Morning, started with a phone call at 7:40am saying they were doing easter baskets for the kids. Which meant it was about breakfast time and since we were incharge of part of breakfast we needed to head over. So Curt just went over while I got ready. Then we went over and all the kids got their baskets and played with their toys and candy. While breakfast was cooking then we all ate and had our easter egg cracking war.

Curtis won and we got a big bag of Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. We had such a great time and we had a wonderful easter. We love all the family time we had this weekend. We hope everyone had a great Easter as well.

How many does it take?

The typical question is how many cups of sugar does it take to get to the moon right?
Not in our case. Our how many question is how many boxes or bags of cereal does it take before you find one that is not expired?
People were so sweet in giving us food and stuff for our storage room, however, most people seem to not check expiration dates. Neither did we.
We woke up on St. Patricks Day and we wanted to have some Marshmallow Mateys (a cereal that loves to mess with my CDO, that's OCD to you weird people who enjoy non-alphabetized things,) so we went and retrieved the cereal from our storage room. We filled our bowls to their capacities and dug in... only to discover it tasted ... off. It wasn't the sugary we goodness we were expecting so we ate a few more bites (because that was the smart thing to do to REALLY make sure the cereal tasted nasty). So we dumped them down the drain after coming to the conclusion that they really we nasty and I looked at the bag, then thought to check the expiration date to see if that had anything to do with it. It did, the cereal had expired in 2008, explaining why the anchors, that already tasted like cardboard, now tasted like plywood.

So we returned to the storage room to check dates on our cereal before we ate another expired one. We found two bags of Fruit Loops, in addition to our Marshmallow Mateys and a box of Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch that I am certain is an antique. Now I say this not to offend anyone or make anyone feel old, but, if the antique store by my house says new arrivals, beanie babies and barbies, then this cereal box must be an antique as well. So no offense intended. The box of Peanut Butter Crunch expired Oct 27, 1998 an month and one day after I was baptized, if you don't believe me check the pictures below.

We now pay better attention to the food we pick before we get it out of our storage room ;)

Kids say the darndest things No. 3 and No. 4

I wish I had posted these or written them down when they happened but I forgot and now I don't remember them exactly but my nieces Kate and Brooke had an Aimee moment with saying the darndest things.
Brooke is on the left with brown hair, Kate is on the right with Blonde.
When they were all over for dinner the Sunday we came home, when we were playing Dominion. Connie had to leave to check on the girls and we kept playing while she was out of the room when she came back it was her turn again and something had happened and she asked, "What in the Sam Hill just happened?" Brooke being the smartie pants that she is responded, "Dad played this, Aunt Aerika played those, Uncle Courtesy Cone (one day the clever girls decided Curtis and Courtesy Cone rhymed he is now Uncle Courtesy Cone) played that one and that one now its your turn and that's what in the Sam Hill just happened!" We all got a good laugh out of that one :)

The next one was said by Kate. Curtis and I were over watching Kate and Allie while Connie took Brooke to a check up. We decided to play Just Dance on the Wii (for anyone who has not played this game DO IT it is a blast!!!). For anyone who doesn't know my husband well... he has no rhythm and cannot dance (I'm not in trouble for posting that he knows it too) so Kate and I had talked him into playing with us which was a big deal. Connie came home and wanted to join us, so all 4 of us, Curtis, Connie, Kate, and I were all dancing together. During one song Kate was beating us all and we don't know how but we pointed out to Kate that she was beating us all she was doing a good job. She promptly responded "I'm whooping your biscuits!" We had to stop for a second so we could laugh. Out of the mouth of a 4 year old :)

Finally Home!!!

So we finally got home at 1 am and had to unload our gifts as shown below. We didn't crawl into bed until about 2 am.

We were not told that it was daylight savings, luckily our ward doesn't meet until 1 pm otherwise we would have been late to church. We woke up at 5 minutes to 8 thinking we did pretty good since Curtis doesn't sleep in. Thankfully my old Singles Ward Clerk texted a reminder to our ward (since my records weren't transferred yet I got a text too) reminding us not to forget Daylight Savings its an hour later than you think. So in Reality we woke up at 5 minutes to 9 thank you Clerk for being on top of your job.

So we got up and decided to tackle our gifts first thing. It took us forever to get them done. There were so many but we were so grateful to get the things we needed. We decided not to take pictures of every gift since it would take forever so we just took a few. (The ballerina is my favorite long story attached to that).

After we were done we ate breakfast and called around to see which building we met in. Turns out it is the same building Curt's brother Joey and his wife Leslie went to while they lived here too. Small world. We went and got ready for church and headed out the door to meet our new ward and bishop.
Our ward was extremely small that day it was the last day before spring break was over so many people were still gone and weren't there. Just to make the world smaller the speakers that spoke in sacrament meeting; the husband was the brother of someone that dated Curt's sister Connie and their sister was in Joey and Leslie's ward when they were in the ward. SMALL WORLD.
After church we went home to clean the mess we left and make the lasagna Curt's mom gave us to take home for dinner. It was too much for two of us and his sister Connie and her Husband Brad and their girls filled our fridge while we were on our honeymoon so we invited them over to eat with us.

We had a great time with all of them over. We ate dinner, played a game, had funny comments made by the girls. What a night :) We have such a fun time with these girls they are so funny :)

We are so glad to be at our home, starting our lives together, and just being us. Being married is the greatest thing I have ever experinced (so far I'm sure babies will be my next one) and I am so glad this wonderful handsome man of mine chose me as his eternal companion. Also that I listened to the spirit and how it was telling me to get married instead of ignore him and focus on your mission. It was the best desicion I've ever made.

We techinally got a two week honeymoon :) after we came home from our planned out of state honeymoon we came home and I didn't start work for another week and neither did Curt so we got another week to set up our house together and have everything in its place before we had to go back to work. We were so lucky :) and we really enjoyed our uninterrupted time together.

Part 3: The Honeymoon

So we stayed our first night at The Hines Mansion in Provo (as shown is part 2: The Big Day). We got up at 6 am... why? We have no idea! We just woke up and we weren't very happy we were planning on sleeping till like 8 so we could get everything together eat breakfast then get on the road and head to California by 9. So we just talked and tried to go back to sleep but failed. So finally at a little after 7 we got out of bed and made sure we were ready to go and that we had everything packed and out in the truck. We were a little confused as to what time breakfast was supposed to be served because we had 3 different papers says 3 different times. So we went out at about 8:45 ish. We walked into the breakfast nook, only to find a table full of 6 other guests all there and already on the 3rd Course. So we walked in and everyone said Oh... you must be the newlyweds ;) we were so embarrassed and wondering what they were thinking because we're sure it wasn't what they thought. So we ate breakfast then went back to the room brushed out teeth and checked out.

It was a long drive but not as bad as we thought. It took us about 12 ish hours to get there we only stopped 2x for gas other than that we just drove so we could get there. We stayed in the Lawrence Welks Resort in Escondido, California. It was really nice and the pool area was gorgeous. We ate some food then watched Sleepless in Seattle then fell asleep so were tired from the long days' drive.

The next day was Sunday, fast sunday to be exact. So the 3rd day of marriage and we were fasting. Curt said he never thought he'd fast on his honeymoon haha. We found a church close to the resort that started at 11 we thought we can make that. We woke up at 9:30 ish so we were going to go get ready but we just laid in bed till we fell asleep again and woke up at 12 so we tried to find another church. We did find one at 1 so we hurried and got ready but we were still a little late. We missed the partaking of the sacrament which we were sad about, but atleast we could listen to people's testimonies. We just sat out in the foyer. As we listened we soon realized that we could not understand anything that was being said. Curt found a 1 spanish ward but didn't know it was spanish. So we got to listen to spanish testimonies for our first married Sunday, the spirit was strong even though we couldn't understand half of what was being said. We left after the sacrament meeting and went back to the resort. We broke our fast and watched Sleepless in Seattle again because we didn't finish the night before. Then watched Cake Boss on TLC then went to bed.

Monday- We hadn't planned anything to really do besides go shopping for some food we'd need that we didn't bring with us and to get me tennis shoes and socks, since mine appeared to have not made it into my suitcase, and maybe go down to the pool. Well our pool plans got foiled because it decided it wanted to rain instead so we went to the store and got the food then got my shoes and socks. I had to twist Curt's clothes snobby arm to let me just get tennis shoes from Payless, he said I needed better arch support than those shoes gave, I told him I almost always buy shoes from there and they are fine. Finally after much childish fueding and whinning I got my way :) and he now really likes my shoes :P so ha! We went back to the resort ate food, watched T.V., and watched The Ringer (Curt had never seen it and I figured he'd find it funny). Once again though he fell asleep, so another movie unfinished we went to sleep.

Tuesday- We planned this day to go to the Temple and hopefully make it to a beach. We called the temple and they said they had sealings available at 2 and 4. We chose 2 since we woke up at 11 we ate breakfast got our temple clothes together and got the stuff for the beach got in the truck and drove to the San Deigo Temple. IT WAS GORGEOUS!!! I have never been before and I absolutely feel in love with it. We got to do sealings with Ordinance Workers it was awesome :D after it was over this sweet sister told us her secret to 51 1/2 happy years of marriage is to but the other person first. She showed us to the Celestial Room. GORGEOUS!!! We then went and changed then we took pictures on the grounds. The temple took longer than we had planned so we didn't end up making it to the beach. We went back and finished The Ringer which Curtis loves now. Then we decided that was our night to eat out so we went to Applebee's and had dinner then came back to the room and watched some T.V. then went to sleep so we could get up and make it to Sea World in the morning.

Wednesday- We got up and made it to Sea World by just after 10. We hit all the shows first thing, we started with the sea lion show, we  came half way through so we missed most of it but Curt and I had both seen it before so we weren't to sad about it. The dolphin show was next it didn't start for a while so we went to the shark exhibit then we wanted to go see the dolphins but they were all getting ready for the show. We walked around the stadium once and right as we came to the other side where no one really was waiting they opened it so Curt and I got really good seats. There were this cute little girl sitting behind us and when it first started it was a story line not really any dolphins yet. She got so mad and said this isn't a stupid dolphin show this is just a dumb show. Her dad told her to just watch for a minute the dolphins will come. When they did she got so excited and was shouting there are the dolphin there dad I see them I see the dolphins. After the dolphins left for the first time she said oh darn its over. Her brother said SHHHH no its not. She was just a joy through the whole thing it was cute to see her so excited. We decided after the show my sister Aimee and our niece Kate would have loved the show. Then we went to the Pets Rule show. It's so fun to watch the cats, dogs, pigs, ducks, and kangaroo do these cool tricks. After we went and saw Shamu, THOSE MAMMALS ARE HUGE!!! Wow. We wanted to ride Journey to Atalantis but it was closed :( bummer!!! That's my favorite ride. After Shamu we went and looked at the aquarium, then the arctic display, then the pengiuns, then by about this time the park was almost closed so we went home. When we got back we discovered our sunburns OUCH we forget sunscreen completely. We were worn out so we went to bed so we could get up early and go to Disneyland and California Adventures the next day.

Thursday- We found a really awesome deal we got two one day park hopper tickets for 100 bucks :D we had fastpasses on our tickets too, we were pretty excited about that :D So we went and got them just before 9 then went up the street to the park (but first we got sunscreen for our faces so we wouldn't get burned again). We had fastpasses on our tickets too :) We started out on the Indiana Jones ride, Curt favorite, then we went on Pirates of the Carribean, my favorite, Splash Mountain was closed all day :( no fun. Then Curt had never been on the Haunted Mansion ride and I hate haunted houses so since he figured that was the closest we'd get me to a haunted house we went on it. Then we went on the train rollercoaster, then we went to the matterhorn, space mountain, we drove the cars in autopia. We hopped over the California Adventures, for lunch, we had Soup Bowls they were delicious. After so we could let lunch settle before we did moire rides. I showed him this place where you take your disney personality test, he was Woody :) haha I got a picture of him sitting in the beasts throne chair too :) then we went to go on the Toy Story Arcade Ride (which I love) and I whooped his bisket :D We wanted to go on California screamin after but it was temporarily down but they said they would take our fast passes when it was up and running again so we went to the tower of terror next another one Curt hadn't been on IT WAS GREAT I love that ride. After we went and got a second fast pass for California Screamin. We used our first one then waited for a little then went on it again. Only 2x in a row isn't a good idea if you ate lunch not too long ago and your stomach doesn't handle the antigravity feeling very well. Needless to say my hubby is one of those unfortunate souls. We got off the ride and he had to go get cleaned up. We went back to Disneyland and he had a few rides we wanted to ride one more time before we left but because of upset tummy, we just tried Indiana Jones first. He could handle that but nothing more so we got coasters as our souviener and left. We went home and decided to do nothing the last day since Saturday would be ALL DAY in the car. We went to bed.

Friday- We woke up and we were lazy for most of the morning, then we went down to the hot tub to soak for a little bit. After my sunburn was really bothering me again so we went and got aloe vera to make it feel better. We watched movies, ate food, watched T.V., started packing up stuff to leave, and lounged around , then went to bed.

Saturday- We were up and gone by 7am California Time. We only stopped 2x again for gas and we got to my old work to say hello to my sister since she had to work and wouldn't see us at the house. We went and got Cafe Rio for dinner then went to my parents house to say hello and get the rest of my stuff I left there. We ended up staying a lot longer than planned haha of course :) Then we went to his mom's got stuff there too and again stayed longer than planned. We went out to his dad's to get his areator and again stayed longer than planned. We were hoping to get to our apartment by 10:30, 11 at the latest we didn't get to our apartment till 1 am. Thankfully our church doesn't start till 1. We got to bed at 2 am.

That's the honeymoon. More to follow in the next post FINALLY HOME!!!

Finishing the wedding: Part 2: The Big Day

So as we left off on the last post I had a fitful nights rest the night before I got married and woke up at 5:30-6:00ish to begin the day.

I rolled out of bed feeling sluggish, and wanting to have a mind over matteress problem but knowing there was no time for that, and begrudgingly went downstairs to force myself to eat.

I got downstairs and spent time talking with Dodi and Dave my nocturnal Aunt and Uncle while I choked down a muffin and banana. I then proceeded to return to my room to ready myself.

I first had to shave my legs (which should be moot after waxing wouldn't you agree?) so that they didn't feel like the fur coat I'd been growing for a month. Then I woke up my younger sister Alise to come help me fix me hair. She was grumpy but came to help. We had a little...scuffle... we didn't agree and I ended up washing my hair and straightening it when I didn't have time and it wasn't done the way I wanted it to look. Everyone said it looked more me anyway.

My makeup artist friend Marisa Philips then came over to make my face look amazing even though it is a tough job. We got the make up done and flawless in 45 minutes. Then it was into a dress make sure I have everything for the temple and honeymoon ready and we were out the door.

We made it to the temple with plenty of time to spare got all checked in and ready for our family and friends to show up. Then we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Mount Timpanogos Temple at 10:00am by Scott T Lyman. To be totally honest I can't remember a thing the sealer said and neither can Curtis. We remember bits and pieces of things but not a lot of it afterwards everyone kept saying how beautiful it was and everything but we just smiled and nodded we don't remember.

I went back to the Brides Room to put on my beautiful gown. I was so happy to have my mother with me and able to participate in that. Then I had to wait while they checked to see if Curtis was ready and waiting. He was. They led me out of the Room and into my handsome cowboys arms. He looked stunning in his wranglers, tailed coat, specially made belt buckle, blue bowtie, and boots. He was all mine.

My guide went to grab my bouquet then we could walk out and greet everyone. We did all of our family photos and then everyone went to go get ready for the Luncheon while Curtis and I took our First Pictures as Husband and Wife. When the pictures were finished we went and got in the truck and headed to the luncheon.

We got there a little early but everything was ready shortly there after. We had rolls and cinnamon butter, bbq chicken, ribs, and crush and IBC rootbeer with pie to follow. We had place cards with space for people to write on them to give us advice. However, when we came home half of them were thrown away. We had each of the parents talk. My daddy sang our song Butterfly Kisses by: Bob Carlisle, Curtis finished by speaking for us. He cried.

We had a little while to get ready and freshened up before the pictures and reception. We took the family pictures all in the wedding attire and the bridesmaids, groomsman, and flowergirls. Then the reception started.

Stood in line for and hour and a half about greeting people who came and excitedly being reunited with family and friends. We cut the cake to Beat It by Michael Jackson. I shoved cake all over Curt's face, so he tried it back but I had all the frosting so I won that battle. :) Next I danced with my Daddy to our song Butterfly Kisses, Curt started dancing with his Mom half way through. Then we had our first dance as Husband and Wife to When You Say Nothing At All by Alison Krauss. We tossed the bouquet to All The Single Ladies by Beyonce and did the Garter Toss (I can't remember what song it was to) Curtis was a good boy and retrieved it with his teeth. ;)Which I had asked him to do previously as his first rebelous act to his mother haha. We mingled and talked with our guests, tried to eat but didn't, tried to sit but couldn't, and then tried to leave on time but didn't. We wanted to leave and be gone by 9 but we didn't leave till 9:30 or 10 but that's ok.

We arrived at the Hines Mansion where we spent our first night as husband and wife in the Butch Cassidy themed room to go along with our western themed wedding.

Honeymoon continued in Part 3: The Honeymoon.

Finishing the wedding: Part 1: Endowments

Hello All,

Yes I have my life back and in order so I can finally post again. :) I will finally let all of you know what went on in our last two days :)

So as you can see this is titled Endowments. I recieved my endowments and yes I know I am terrible I don't have any pictures :( My husband and I are not good about taking pictures unless the camara is in our hands at all times. Which of course we didn't that night.

The Endowment session was on March 3rd, 2011 at 6:00pm in the Salt Lake Temple. My first time at the Temple EVER and I did a live session. But it was amazing :D I am so glad I did it that way. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I have never felt as happy as I did that day. (and of course the next ;))

After the endowment was over went straight to the church where our reception would be the next day to set up for the luncheon and reception. It took FOREVER and didn't exactly "go as planned" you could say. We left by 10 or 11 that night.

I had my cousins Keri and Shelbi spend the night with my sister Alise and me. Our last single Mount Rushmore night. We went to bed at about 1ish which wasn' t to bad considering. Everyone was asleep within minutes. Not me though. I laid in bed till like 2:30 almost 3:00 I was so tired that I couldn't sleep. Some teased me about nerves some teased me about excitment but really I was too tired to sleep. I wanted to sleep so bad that my body kept making it out of reach just to torment me I am sure.

Then once I was finally in dreamland I couldn't stay there I had a very fitful sleep and I got up at 5:30-6:00ish to get ready. Then began the wedding day.
