6 Months!

Blog overload! But I have a lot to catch up on! Lizzi is nearly 7 months!

So I didn't cry like I thought I was going to. But she is seriously getting so big :( At her appointment she weighted 14.44lbs and was 26.25 inches long! That's two pound and an inch and a quarter bigger! She is a huge fan of her voice and talks all the time! She makes a sound that we are fairly certain is hi! She does it when we answer the phone or we look at her. I am loving it! I am afraid that she is going to learn words and never stop talking haha. She is trying so so hard to crawl! She is getting good at scooting around on her face and stomach haha but she is now starting to push herself up and trying to get the crawling motion going. NEWEST DEVELOPMENT! SHE CAN SIT ON HER OWN!!!! This did make me a little teary I will admit but how cute is she!?

Count Your Many Blessings

So I had the most terrifying experience of my life. It humbled me and made me so grateful for the little things in life.

Wednesday October 29th, I left work and picked up my baby from the sitter and we headed home. Lizzi was snoozing in the backseat like she occasionally does on the way home. We were almost home when a dog jumped in front of my car. I swerved to miss it and my steering wheel locked... I couldn't correct my car, hit a mile marker post, and drove off the opposite side of the road into the ditch on the side of the road. I don't remember much after that besides I wish the car would stop moving. I am certain we rolled at least once. We went about 250 feet before the car came to a crashing halt. Lizzi was crying in the back seat and  I flew out of the car to make sure she was alright. She was crying in the backseat but completely locked in. Thank heavens... I pulled her out and held her tight but I couldn't find my phone to call Curtis. Thankful a kindly neighbor John Clark stopped to help me along with another gentleman I had yet to meet Steve. One called Curtis while the other called 911. We walked away unscathed! Don't ask me how that happened... the only answer I have is that we were being watched over. After that several neighbors stopped to make sure we were alright and see what they could do to help. We went to the hospital via ambulance just as a precaution. We both checked out 100% and were sent on our way. Lizzi had a tiny bruise on her head that I think was caused by her rattle that was in her carseat with her. Just to be safe the doctor ordered a CT scan. Lizzi took it like a champ! She was fighting it a little bit at first but I got to stand by her and that helped. I was a little sore the next day but feeling grateful that we were safe!
You can kind of see her bruise on her right side of her forehead

5 Months!

Again I am behind on my monthly update of Lizzi! One day life gets less hectic right? Not hardly, but one can hope!

Lizzi turned 5 months on Conference Saturday and I can't believe how fast time is going! I just might cry next month because she will be half a year old! :( Why is time going so fast!? Lizzi LOVES to be on her tummy, the second you lay her down she rolls onto her tummy. She is trying really really hard to crawl and I think she will be crawling before we know it! She has been trying to cut a tooth for a little while now so she has been slightly irritable but not terribly so. She still laughs all the time, and boy has she found her voice in full force now! She yells, babbles and "sings" at the top of lungs all the time! I love to hear it but not so much at 3am which is her new favorite play time :(
