Count Your Many Blessings

So I had the most terrifying experience of my life. It humbled me and made me so grateful for the little things in life.

Wednesday October 29th, I left work and picked up my baby from the sitter and we headed home. Lizzi was snoozing in the backseat like she occasionally does on the way home. We were almost home when a dog jumped in front of my car. I swerved to miss it and my steering wheel locked... I couldn't correct my car, hit a mile marker post, and drove off the opposite side of the road into the ditch on the side of the road. I don't remember much after that besides I wish the car would stop moving. I am certain we rolled at least once. We went about 250 feet before the car came to a crashing halt. Lizzi was crying in the back seat and  I flew out of the car to make sure she was alright. She was crying in the backseat but completely locked in. Thank heavens... I pulled her out and held her tight but I couldn't find my phone to call Curtis. Thankful a kindly neighbor John Clark stopped to help me along with another gentleman I had yet to meet Steve. One called Curtis while the other called 911. We walked away unscathed! Don't ask me how that happened... the only answer I have is that we were being watched over. After that several neighbors stopped to make sure we were alright and see what they could do to help. We went to the hospital via ambulance just as a precaution. We both checked out 100% and were sent on our way. Lizzi had a tiny bruise on her head that I think was caused by her rattle that was in her carseat with her. Just to be safe the doctor ordered a CT scan. Lizzi took it like a champ! She was fighting it a little bit at first but I got to stand by her and that helped. I was a little sore the next day but feeling grateful that we were safe!
You can kind of see her bruise on her right side of her forehead
