One of those days

Today... is one of THOSE days.... You know the days that you want to do nothing else but curl up in your favorite blankie, in your comfiest (is that even a word?) p.j's, snuggle up with your mom and sisters, hunker down with your favorite comfort food, have a good cry and watch your favorite chick flick? That explains my day to a T.

There are just some days that seem to make me really down. Today was one of those days. I was just feeling really down on myself, I was feeling worthless, and like nothing seems to be going right. On days like this I pull out my poem notebook and one seemed to fit perfectly today

Its called Less Than Perfect:

Life's not supposed to be perfect I know this, there's always something.

Like your cool new shoes, wear a blister on your toe.

Or your bike has a flat, when you're ready to go.

Or you get a big zit before your first date, or fall on your face after doing something great.

There's always something I know this, I just wish that sometimes everything would be perfect.

That was kind of, really just how I felt. It was just one of those days that I just needed to break down. Tired of being strong and acting like everything is great when really I've been struggling just to get out of bed in the morning most days. Questioning why and wanting answers.

Anyway excuse the emotional post I just needed somewhere to vent. So to make up for it here is my happy picture that makes me smile

Hi Cousin!

I am so sorry that you have been going through such a rough spell!

Where did you get that poem? Did you write it? What a neat idea to keep those and read them when you need it. Sometimes just finding something that articulates how you feel really helps. It's nice to be able to say "THAT! I feel like THAT!"

I love the mental image of you snuggled up with your mom and sisters. I wish I could be there to give you a hug too.

Can I tell you something? Every time I talk to your mom she tells me how very proud she and Uncle are of you and Curtis. They know you are doing what is right and trying so, so, hard at LIFE! I know you are too.

I am so sorry you are discouraged and struggling. Hang in there! Sometimes life just smacks you right between the eyes doesn't it?!? You'll get through it!

You are beautiful and strong, and Heavenly Father loves you! And your family loves you! And I love you!

Hugs and Kisses Cous. I hope you start feeling better soon. You can call me anytime if you want to vent or chat. I am a better listener at night when the kiddos are in bed, but I would love to talk to you anytime!

Lots of love...

Ashlee

I love you so much and it is true dad and I are very proud of you. I long for a good snuggle with my girls many times too. We just had our Stake Conference adult meeting last night and Pres. Scorsby reminded us of his favorite thing he likes to tell us.... I can do hard things. Even though we can I understand some days not wanting too. Success is not in never falling but in always rising when we do,Right? I love you for your good efforts. Love,MOM

I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Hope things are getting better for you. Just remember to take one day at a time and look for all the blessings you have. Atleast that helps me when things get hard.

AerBear,
I definitely have days like this!
I miss you my dear cousin. Sometimes I want to go back in time and be that little girl with our kiddy pool and toads. Haha.
Chin up. You are an amazing, beautiful, strong, intelligent woman and I am proud to call you my cousin!
I LOVE YOU.
